L’Or Bleu is the gastronomic restaurant of the Tiara Yaktsa hotel. It is located on the Gold Cornice in Théoule-sur-Mer, next to Cannes. We had the opportunity to enjoy a dinner during our recent stay at the Tiara Miramar, the Tiara Yaktsa sister property. L’Or Bleu is easily reachable from the Tiara Miramar after a 10 minutes’ walk in a charming street surrounded by nice villas with a view over the sea. You can also take the house car driven by a friendly valet if you prefer.
The first thing you’ll notice when you enter the Tiara Yaktsa is the refinement of the place. It features state of the art Oriental decoration. After a short walk through nice corridors, you arrive into the dining room with its outstanding panoramic view over the Mediterranean sea. There is also a zen garden next to the restaurant where you can have a drink under palm trees before the dinner.
We were really delighted with the setup of our table on the terrace offering an endless unobstructed view over the sea and the Esterel. This is really a romantic experience to have a dinner there. You may admire sunset and the coast illuminating when the evening falls.
With regards to the dinner itself, the service is the one you get in nice places. It is really paying attention to details. Then the food is awesome. The presentation of the meals was quite artistic and the taste was perfect.
Once the order had been taken, we had the pleasure to receive a surprising mix of appetizers. This evening, we discovered a fish soup with its toasted bread foam in verrine, salmon sushi, a goat cheese panna cotta topped with a red wine coulis and soy sauce acras.
We have tasted the meager, cooked in olive oil, with a tangy wine sauce and Istanbul style burnt eggplant flan. It is really light and refined. Then also the veal, tenderloin with mustard, wasabi sauce, macaroni with spring vegetables and oyster mushroom cream. It is tasty and the veal is delicious.
The desserts were as beautiful as delightful as well : the Chocolate with Jivara Valrhona Mousse, Yuzu Sorbet and the Vacherin and its white chocolate dome with Strawberries, Ginger sorbet, Meringues and Vanilla Chantilly cream.
So we were really delighted with our evening at L’Or Bleu. It is a really exclusive place and the quality of the meals we had makes it a good address to keep in mind.
